Weary Scholarship

In 1989, the Mid-America Weary Scholarship Foundation was founded in honor of cable leader and entrepreneur Robert K. Weary (1921-2001) for his remarkable achievements in the cable industry.

The Weary Scholarship is designed to help deserving, academically oriented students to further their college education. The scholarship is open to all industry employees, their spouses, and children in the Mid-America Cable Show region.

2024 SCHOLARSHIP QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualifiers: The Mid-America Weary Scholarship is available to cable industry employees, their spouses, and children in the Mid-America region (see Locations below.)  There are no limits on the number of times you can apply for or receive a Weary Scholarship.

Location: Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma & Texas

Scholastics: HS GPA- 2.8 (on a 4-point scale)
College GPA- 2.8 (on a 4-point scale)

Deadline: April 30, 2024

All applications, documentation, and letters of reference should be mailed to the PO Box on the application form.

Scholarship Amount: $3,000
