TV Answer Man - 9:15 AM
Phillip Swann aka TV Swanni - started the web site, TVPredictions.com, in 2001 and remained its editor and publisher until 2017 when he closed the site to begin TVAnswerman.com. He is going back to his prognosticator days and will provide his best analysis on where the industry is going in the future and the impact of technology on cable and broadband industries.
The New Double Play, High Speed Internet with Some Form of Video - 10:15 AM
Faced with rising content costs, a changing customer base and increased competition, smaller MVPDs must morph from video providers to video enablers to remain relevant in today’s market. We will discuss maximizing High Speed Internet sales, retention and customer reach by supplementing traditional TV services with OTT and DBS reseller agreements.

MACS participants often say that a real benefit of attending is networking and benchmarking with their peers. Here’s your opportunity to attend the breakout(s) of interest to you and learn about real world solutions that you can use!
Breakout Session 1: Field Ops
Join us for a unique opportunity to hear about best practices, new solutions, education and leading edge tools from your peers in this Field Operations breakout session. In this breakout, you’ll hear short overviews from several providers about how they have solved problems or leveraged new ideas to make a real difference in their business when it comes to installation, trouble calls and the network. After a 5-10 minute overview from each of the presenters, you’ll have a chance to ask questions and discuss how you can adapt their solution to your own situation. The breakout will then have an “open forum” discussion where you can share your own best practices or ask those in the breakout questions about a problem you currently face.
Breakout Session 2: Marketing
Join us for a two part session. The first portion of this breakout will be a presentation from our MIDI Award winner showcasing their winning campaign. You will have an opportunity to gain insight into their campaign creation, target market, and campaign results. The second half of the breakout will cover the evolving trends of television viewing. Altman Vilandrie & Company will share insights on how consumers are watching television and implications for TV networks and distributors. Discussion will explore how often consumers access content, over what platforms (e.g., cable, OTT services and over-the-air), and on what devices (e.g., TVs, smartphones, etc.). The session will also include trends on the content discovery experience, the importance of TV Everywhere and the value of broadband in the video purchasing decision.
Breakout Session 3: It’s All About Customer Experience
Join us for a conversation about changes in the customer service model. Learn what these customer service leaders are doing in the areas of hiring, training and retaining team members and how the emphasis on customer experience is impacting their companies.
SCTE Keynote Panel - 3:15 PM
Mark Dzuban, the President and CEO of SCTE will host a fireside chat with key industry CTO (s) discussing the key technical challenges facing the industry, what are the solutions, and what you should be doing today to future proof your networks.
